How You Can Help with My Campaign

Please help me take back Washington from the Democrats and Republicans - and the fat cats and special interests who own them. 

I don't have a lot of money. And I don't expect to raise much from the usual sources of campaign funding - the special interests who bribe politicians with contributions, and expect favors in return. 

I need money and support from "we the people."  

Ron Paul proved it's possible to raise enough money to make an impact by going straight to the people.  

If you can contribute anything - even $10, even $5, even $1 - it will be enormously appreciated. I care more about how many people contribute to my campaign than about how much it adds up to. 

I can run a high-impact campaign on chump change and chicken feed with a few peanuts on top. That chump change will buy bumper stickers and yard signs, help me travel around the district talking to voters, and maybe purchase some ads in the small-town newspapers and radio stations in my mostly-rural district. 

Here's the script for the first radio ad I want to run: "Hi, I'm Kevin Barrett, saying the 9/11 wars have trashed our economy, damaged our national security, ruined our reputation, and even put our Constitution at risk. I say, fire the liars." (Chorus of voices: "Fire the liars!") 

I'm also planning to bring John Lennon to Wisconsin to tour and perform with me. Hey, if Wisconsin Senator Russ Feingold got elected with the help of Elvis, I can do it with John Lennon. And my John Lennon sings a heck of a lot better than his Elvis. 

All this stuff does cost money, however pathetically tiny the amounts. So please contribute what you can.  

Along with breaking open your piggy bank and giving me half the contents, you can also help me directly by becoming a campaign volunteer. The first task is collecting signatures to get me on the ballot. Collecting signatures is fun - you just hang around where people are, chat with them, and hand them a pen. June is "collect signatures" month. Contact me at kbarrett(at)merr.com and I'll get you started. You don't have to live in Wisconsin's 3^rd District to collect signatures - but the signatures do have to be from eligible voters in the district. If you plan a signature-collecting trip to Wisconsin's beautiful 3^rd district, the Driftless Zone - the most beautiful landscape on earth, in my opinion - you can stop by my place in Lone Rock for lunch, then pick up some free DVDs from me to distribute while you collect signatures.
